Kittitas Fire District 7 Station 73
Kittitas County Fire District 7 serves the area west of the town of Cle Elum where Fire Station 73 was constructed and is visible from I-90. Fire Station 73 serves the busiest section of the I-90 corridor in the District, providing EMS and fire fighting support. Phase 1 of the project included a day room for staffing, decontamination room, restrooms, electrical room and 2 apparatus bays. Phase 2 added 6 new apparatus bays, a dry storage bay, an EMS office, exercise/training room, additional restrooms, and 6 sleeper units.
The facility is a pre-engineered metal building constructed on 18” of structural fill to raise the building above the 100 year flood plain. The site has secured LPG tanks, storm drainage retention pond for runoff, concrete apparatus aprons and a new CRS driveway. The building utilizes an in slab radiant floor heating system. Lighting is supplemented by insulated translucent acrylic clerestory windows over the exterior overhead doors.
